Not a dream as in while I slept, but my dream is everyone investing at least 1% of their time and money in land and shared infrastructure. Essentially creating a global land and information commons.
Oh, and my other dream is what I call "Building Man" festivals. Like Burning Man, but rather than creating a temporary city in the desert we'll build ecovillages in sensible places and leave them there :)
About Me:
I'm a Symbiotic Engineer working to to create mutually advantageous relationships between people, organisations and their environment.
I was born in London and have lived here all my life. Born at home. Brought up by full on hippies. Life long vegetarian. Cycle everywhere.
I currently live in a large (130 people, 14 houses, 6 flats) housing co-op with wood chip burners, solar water and loft and cavity wall insulation (and some veg growing too, in raise beds because our soil is toxic - we're across the road from a waste incinerator).
What I'm contributing to humanity and the planet
Freely sharing my skills and knowledge symbiotic engineering.

United Diversity is also about self-organising and sharing to raise quality of life for all whilst simultaneously reducing ecological footprint.
Our focus is on land, money and media projects because unless we create community land trusts, our own currencies and be the media there can be no peace, justice and sustainability.
Apart for United Diversity I'm a co-founder of The Open Co-op http://open.coop whose main output at present is the OpenCoin project http://opencoin.org
I'm also an active member of Peace Not War http://peace.fm and work with The Hub http://www.the-hub.net (an international network of spaces for social innovators and an impressive community).
I'm about to head out to Spain where we've got 5 acres of collectively owned land and want to create a small ecological settlement and educational centre according to permaculture principles.

Eco-hotel is a stretched term...But I know the people (actually my friend's parents) are very committed to ecological values and I am sure that they do very well.
I am headed close to the Picos de Europa national park, a friend of mine runs an eco-hotel there - I am going to finish my dissertation and helping him (and me) with some physical activity too.
He told me about escanda, so I hope we will be able to go to the place, I am sure it would be great.
About that vortex thing on my page - it really could make a difference if widely adopted. I think that just about every city and town has a river flowing through it or nearby, that could freely provide the electricity they need, in a low-tech and environmentally friendly way.
So maybe with global swadeshi taking off, perhaps this could be one of the tools for independence ;-)

I am heading to Asturias, North of Spain, soon. Whereabouts in Spain is your land? Maybe there is the possibility for a visit?
Thanks
